How It Went

Held in the spirit of Pohela Boishakh 1431, this Grand Boishakhi Mela came together despite rainy weather, with attendees embracing the occasion and patronizing stalls full of delectable cuisine, exquisite clothing, and jewelry. The Mayor of the City of Folsom and his delegation joined as guests, thoroughly enjoying the performances and praising the ambiance.
The cultural program showcased local talent across songs, dances, kids' performances, recitations, and fashion shows, with venue decoration and hospitality entirely powered by dedicated volunteers. It's a tradition the Anandamela, Inc. team has proudly maintained since 2008, and by 2024 had become Northern California's premier Bengali cultural event.
This was also the year Anandamela, Inc. launched its own YouTube channel, “Ananda-Muhurto” (Joyous Moments), starting with a full recording of the entire cultural show.
“Your dedication has truly been the highlight of our cultural program, shining a spotlight on our young stars and their remarkable abilities.”
